UPDATE REGARDING ALIEN REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

On April 11, 2025, USCIS published a new process to comply with laws concerning “Alien Registration.”

These laws require many noncitizens to:

• Register online with USCIS

• Carry proof of registration at all times, and

• Report to USCIS any change of address within 10 days of moving

The possible penalties for failing to comply with these requirements include:

• Fines up to $5,000

• Prison time up to six months

• Removal from the United States

• Denial of future immigration applications
